Giving a little and often is far better for charities than one-off adhoc payments.

Like other businesses, charities need to budget for expenditures and are far better prepared to deal with donations coming in on a regular basis. Although 0.8% minimum of gross revenue is relatively small, regular donations by member businesses will add up.

In addition, businesses can benefit charities still further by availing of tax efficient donations in their countries whereby tax can be reclaimed for the charity (thus increasing the gross size of the donation).

More donations more often also mean the donations will compound and increase with interest payments (charities hold interest bearing accounts just like any other business).

Remember, 0.8% of gross revenue is the absolute minimum a JointWinWin business must donate to be eligible as a JointWinWin business. Many JointWinWin businesses donate considerably more too.
